BTW the Triple Crown Pipeline Masters surf contest was called off today because it was 35' and breaking on the third reef. Way too "hairy" to hold a decent surf event. South Shores 1-2', great for a swim. The Earth is definitely tilted away from the Sun. Lots of convection North of here!

I decided to go South early for Christmas and visit home in RHE, CA. My plan was to take HWY 395 down to the Mojave Desert then HWY 405 to Torrance.

The weather here has a little contrast. Surfed Torrance Beach... Water 60F, air 80F, 0 wind, clear skies, 60NM visibility (Santa Barbara Is. was visible from Palos Verdes). Everybody seemed to be friendly too.
