I learned the term "Pineapple Express" from a Canadian. A guy named Brent Swain, Comox BC, he designed and built the sailboat CaptMike and i met on this last Thusrday. I started using the term lately.

Hey Ted! I had a great time catching up with you in Hawaii on Thanksgiving day! Salt Lake City-Honolulu-Tokyo-Guam-Osaka-Guam-Osaka-Guam-Tokyo is in the logbook, Tokyo-Guam-Tokyo-Shanghai-Tokyo-Portland-Salt Lake City to go! (Whew!!)

We now return you to your regularly scheduled forum-ing... 8) 8)

That is amazing! Very glad we had a moment to talk last Thursday! Very busy schedule you have! Now you know where my surf office is on further visits.

I will be visiting my little ship in Oregon in two weeks. Yeah!!

Today's Oregon ski flying blog...or let's say Oregon's non-ski flying blog...

Looking like a warm Winter will be here in (11) days for Oregon dudes;

Temperature are warm;

Another "Pineapple Express";

BTW the Triple Crown Pipeline Masters surf contest was called off today because it was 35' and breaking on the third reef. Way too "hairy" to hold a decent surf event. South Shores 1-2', great for a swim. The Earth is definitely tilted away from the Sun. Lots of convection North of here!

Re: Global Warming, "Pineapple Express"

2014.12.20:

The 8GCBC passed an Annual Inspection. But, the weather in Newport, Oregon was brutal, 50MPH onshore, fog, wind shears, and thunderstorms shaking the hangar. I decided to go South early for Christmas and visit home in RHE, CA. My plan was to take HWY 395 down to the Mojave Desert then HWY 405 to Torrance.

2014.12.23:

The weather here has a little contrast. Surfed Torrance Beach... Water 60F, air 80F, 0 wind, clear skies, 60NM visibility (Santa Barbara Is. was visible from Palos Verdes). Everybody seemed to be friendly too.
