Re: Good day BCP friends

Well 1 1/2 days till we head north to the land of rain and mud. It has been a most enjoyable time so far. Continued the tradition of celebrating my oldest daughters birthday down here.
Been hiking all the good close by places getting ready to go out now.
Got this fellow but he wouldn't stick his head out.

Saw a rattler but we both went opposite direction.

Re: Good day BCP friends

so did you go to indian canyon in Palm springs??? It's on S. palm canyon drive.. Our family cabin is on the mountain just above the indian reservation.. If you hike up the trail along the stream from the parking area you'll come to a chain link fence by the pools... cabin is one of those on the other side of the fence line...you can only see a couple of the cabins in there there are about 20 of them in the Andreas Canyon club and they are all local rock so they blend into the hills....

Good day BCP friends

Hey Butch. I did not get to the Palm Springs hiking trails. I think I know where you are talking about. Nice area.

8:24 PM Saturday. We are trucking north on I-5. We will arrive home at 8AM Sunday 30 miles south of Sacramento now.

Looking forward to getting back in the Maule.

Cheers

An all-nighter, eh? I prefer to travel by day-- besides having kinda poor night vision, seeing the countryside as I roll along makes a long trip more enjoyable. Calif's central valley not so much, but once you hit shasta it's pretty nice. 97's a scenic alternative to I-5 through oregon.

Pretty stormy with some openings in the clouds so we could see the moon. Snow over the Siskiyou's Home now. Trying to sleep, still wired on coffee.

I'm calling BS on this goody two shoes statement. ImageI got a bad attitude about a lot of stuff. I still flew 250 hours last year, put over 9000 miles on bikes, quads, snowmobiles.

Maybe it's more accurate to say that a bad attitude is like wearing a dirty diaper. You can still go places with it but it becomes pretty noticeable after a while.

...And I'm sure there's a subculture somewhere that would fully accept you if you wore nothing but a diaper... And that vest... with no shirt

...uughh, I did not need that visual

I noticed that stylish hat proudly proclaims the wearer is a "bush lover".

Stole the hat from Ellen DeGeneres at last year's Hollyweood parade, did you? Or did you trade her one of your leather vests for it?
