I go 50 years without hearing "Pelican Bay" and now twice in a week! Funny how that works.

Or I guess a guy could get real ballsy and just not worry about getting a medical. But that would be illegal.

Wait... so does a person have to get any extra endorsements to fly sport or is it (if you have a commercial) like going to from 2nd to 3rd class medical you now just operate in the limitations of private? So to fly sport do you just let your medical expire and then make sure you are only flying LSA category aircraft and you are ok?

Yep, but you can't fly LSA if you have been denied a medical, so do it before your denied
