Should I integrate an interactive Google map showing member city locations?

Yeah, I would spend time looking at it

Sure, but finish the airstrip database first.

Google maps - integrated into Backcountry Pilot?

I recently became aware of frappr.com, a site that utilizes the Google Map Application Programming Interface(API) to display the locations of members. It's kinda cool. You can see geographically where people are, if simply looking in their profile is not enough or you don't know where their location is!

I found a mod for the forum software I use that will integrate this technology into our site. If you've specified your location in your profile, it will put a little flag on your city. It won't show your exact location, just your city.

You guys want this? I think it's kinda cool, but not much value other than easily seeing who is near you without scrolling thru the memberlist.

Zane, I do know where Kotz is, but I don't know how to vote. Also could this be used to show where strips are?

I upgraded phpBB today, so that may be it. Just log in again with the checkbox.

I saw that a guest had posted...figured it was a regular who didn't login(cuz Tech Issues used to not require login, til today) and matched the IP address to Speedbump's usual address.

Really Doug? Look north of Nome, just above the arctic circle. Used to fly DC-6's in thar 'lo the many years ago. Does Kotz smell like fish, or was it just my plane?

Actually, I knew it was *someplace* in Alaska because it had one of those funny eskimo sounding names. It just seemed like the appropriate smart ass response to the pole question.
