A post on a Facebook pilot's forum gave me an idea. If you've got kids cooped up at home due to school closures and they've got a box of Legos, have them build a model of your airplane sometime in the next three days. Post a picture of your airplane and of the Lego model they build!

My youngest son did this Apache from a random pile of Legos when he was 14 (he's 24 now).


I missed many chances to capture his work.

He once did an ohio class submarine that was about 4' long, drew a flawless Cessna Citation after looking at a copy of Flying Magazine (and then going in another room and drawing it). He did both of those before he was in the first grade.

Here is one my boy’s latest creations. He will be diligently working on a model of our 172 in the next couple days.
