Although you haven't asked for it, my opinion is a Garmin 430 is a waste of money unless you're IFR.

I agree but I plan to get my instrument rating and fly this plane in IMC. I figure it makes more sense to set the panel up for it now than to redo the panel in a couple years when I start on the instrument stuff.
