Is there a way to convert Fireflight co-ords to Garmin co-ords? The ones I've seen are different formats, and I'm not sure if they can be converted or not.

do you mean Foreflight. I don't use the electric gadgets but tried to google Fireflight and it just wants to show Foreflight.
Is this what you are looking for?

Seems like the decimal multiplied by 60 is the trick. Thanks tcj!

There are a couple formats commonly used for GPS coordinates. One is degrees, minutes and seconds: 60 degrees, 30 minutes, 10 seconds, for example.
The other most common format is decimal degrees: 60.67894 degrees.
Do a Google search for converters from one to the other.
I've also seen some other not so common, and maybe not even "real" formats.
And, of course, there are different GPS databases.

I believe the digital format is called "geocode". I rigged my garmin GPS to display current position using this format, I figgered it'd be easier to tell ATC where I was crashing that way.

Cessna Skywagon -- accept no substitute!
Well I figured more things out today. My Garmin was set in the degrees minutes and seconds. I figured out now that i can easily switch it over to decimal degrees. As tcj mentioned in his post, it is easy to convert decimal to minutes by multiplying the number afrer the decial by 60.
Thanks for the help all.
