Flight:
Went to Grand Gulch today -rough runway . Windsock frame is still up but no fabric on windsock.I've got 2 and will take one out -If anyone else is going to the Grand Gulch area I'll give it too them to put up. Need to have truck with bed frame drag . Craig ranch strip needs a sock -same situation -Land on the road next to old strip. See my SPOT at bottom of page.

Re: Grand Gulch

Is this the strip you are talking about? Bed frame drag. I have never used one. Great idea.

Re: Grand Gulch

I tried a bed frame drag once, but the ground has to be pretty smooth to begin with. I'm considering building something similar to this tow grader that's made from a boat trailer.

That's it ! looks better in your picture than it is now. I may have some "pictures now" --how do I add them to a post ? Bed frame with old box springs pulled with truck /atv/ motorcycle etc.--works with ease .
I like the boat trailer idea with 55 gallon barrel .Road to Grand Gulch is 4X4 low speed (maybe 10-15 mph)
travel -40 mile trek. I think the bed frame is still there and I could fly up my tote goat to pull it. Water is not available any where near by .North /west end of Grand Canyon .Area on lower r/h side is old ghost town /silver mine, Rattle snake dens ---so take some "protection".
