Grand Gulch Mine

Has anyone been to the Grand Gulch Mine recently?

YES --about 70 miles as the crow flies from Boulder 003 Magnetic -25 miles north of L-25 2 runways made smoother by bed springs towed behind Karls pickup .Shorter runway is soft sand -longer is rocky especially on north end .Windsock is near intersection ,tiedown is near windsock . Windsock is faded and hard to see --suggest low flyby as there are animals on and near runway -- need to watch for rattle snakes all around .I'd carry a handgun at least -410 shotgun works good . :D

That's me on the ground (red/white). Those other guys are from St. George (I think). I just wanted to be sure no one had decided to close it. I think I will go over to that area this winter. There are a lot of great places between there and the Grand Canyon.

Desert Rat ----- Going again Wed-Thur to Grand Gulch on way or back from Colorado City .I'll try and get some current pictures .

Colorado City :shock: :shock: Everyone told me to never go near that place. Wow. I have never been there. This is really cool. :D :D Want more info. :?:

I've got to go to Colorado city to see 182 that's for sale---- It's way to Crazy to stay there overnight -understand they all have 1/2 dozen wives and dozens of kids ??/
