Grass Strips in MD & WV
Links to general aviation backcountry flying-oriented videos. It can be yours or stuff you find on the internet. Please no airline/military.
My loving wife gave me a new video camera for my birthday and let me fly both days the following weekend. Wuhu! I was still getting used to how much an impact that wide angle lens has, so the plane I was chasing is a mere spec in the video below, but Jim Newton gave me a grand tour of some great little grass strips in our area. Some of that terrain is very unforgiving, but when things are going well it is also incredibly beautiful. I'll work on getting close enough to other planes that you can make them out better than they show up here. One step at a time...

Great video! Looks like your video started at Martinsburg. Our own BCP member FARMAULE is based there and he has a 1000ft grass strip somewhere nearby. Look him up!

Tried to get Farmaule to join us, but he had Guard duty last weekend. I've met him, but I haven't seen his plane yet. We did fly over his farm strip just before calling it quits on Sunday. I'm sure we'll get some time in the air together soon.

I guess Jim showed you some of the local grass around Mburg. Really is a lot of little strips around, at least you know where I am now if you wanna stop in.
