Does anyone know if Green Valley Ranch is still open for use?I
showed it to my wife in the Fly Idaho Book and she thought it would be a great trip especially when she saw the pool.
I can't seem to find any contact information,could you help?

I believe that Greene Valley Rance is in Utah. Galen makes reference to Salt Lake Chart and he is giving a Way point (WPT0368) that is a GPS, ID for the runway. utah is the only state he has GPS,WPT.
But to confirm you could email or PM Galen. Go to memberlist upper Rt corner, Sort alphabetically for Galen.
I am not 100% positive but I think this should be in the Utah book but it is in my ID as well.

Greene (with "e" on the end) valley ranch airstrip is just east of the runway at Atlanta,ID. I flew over it on Sunday and it appeared to be clear with no "X's" on the runway or anything like that.
Last fallthey appeared to be taking guests the few times I flew over on the way into Atlanta.

The ranch has always been private but now that it is in Galen's book and has an ad in the back I guess it is ok to land there Galen's first edition warned not to land there as I remember but maybe that's changed or else why would they want to be included in the book or advertise for that matter. Anyway I bet the strip is better than Atlanta which had a lot of rocks at the top last time I was there.

I landed at Greene Valley Ranch two years ago to pick up a friend who had rented out the place for an entire week. The ranch foreman got all fired up because I did not obtain written permission prior to landing. He was adamant that he was not going to let me take off because of "liability." Being an attorney (and therefore argumentative by nature) I drafted a liability release on a scrap piece of paper, signed it and told him I was leaving. Rumor has it that foreman was fired last season... however, I would be sure to get permission from the owner before landing there!

Typically, the airstrip is only opened and accessible for paying guests.
What is your interest for obtaining permission?

We require a written liability release prior to landing for anyone. Are
you looking at a possible booking for our facilities? That is usually the
only reason we would allow a plane to land is if the individual wants to
look over our accommodations for future lodging for at least 8
individuals.
