There are a number of us in BC that think the ban on grizzly bear hunting will be a good thing in the long run.
Without the use of limited entry hunting the grizz population will explode. With the current policies of the Federal Fisheries and the conservation practices of Fish and Wildlife there will soon be no fish or moose for the bears to eat. It will not take those bears long to figure out that those bear watching tourist things are pretty tasty and run real slow. That will provide for some good entertainment as long as you can run faster than the person next to you. The only down side to this plan is that Fish and Wildlife will then start poisoning the bears and end up killing everything around including the birds , just like they do with the wolfs up here.
These politicians and government boys are dumber than two sticks on a rock pile.
The good ones get let go because they can make their bosses look bad.

At first I thought the idea was pretty stupid but after reading your post I realize there might be some good come of it.

I had a Grizz LEH last year, hunting up around Fort Nelson. I didn't devote any time to it, focused mainly on moose, but if I knew then what I knew now I would have spent a lot more time trying to put one in the dirt.
