That apparent rate of closure sure speeds up down close. I would rather see either rudder turns or energy management turns at that altitude. Short wings here or more altitude than what it appears to be.

You are both right. As Wolfgang Langewiesche said, "airspeed is altitude and altitude is airspeed. " And yes, a bigger engine provides diminishing returns in airspeed at an increasing price.

Other than the water - it looks like a lot of my "Ragtime Aero" flying.
"Ragtime Aero" is what I named the first flying club I started with a 46 Champ in early 1960s.

Looks like Powered Parachute/Powered Paraglider flyin to me. Not too different from checkin the cattle and pastures in the Cub.
