Grove 10” wheels
Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?
Has anybody had any luck getting approval paperwork for the install of these wheels?
Thought they would work well for my needs.

So, the silence is deafening.
Is anybody else interested in these as an alternative option to the ABW?
I like the oversized rotor/ brake aspect as well as the tubeless option.
Perhaps I’ll need to start working on the first install on the Maule¿

What's the price on these vs ABW 10" wheels?
I can see that there might not be much interest unless the price advantage is significant,
what with BW's coming with an STC.
Unfortunately I think 35x10 BW tires require a different rim than 29x10 tubed tires.

There is no price advantage and no STC. I think that is why there is so little interest. I too like the oversized brakes but that means no easy swap to smaller tires when you go on skis or whatever.

Seaplanes North in Anchorage is suppose to be working on the STC for the Grove wheels and brakes with the new Desser tundra tires, or at least that's what they told me at the Great Alaska Aviation trade show last year. Was suppose to be available this winter, so you might give them a call.

I talked to Jeff at Seaplanes North this AM and he said that the Anchorage Feds have declined to do field approvals on the wheels since they (seaplanes north) are in the process of working on the STC. He was hoping/pushing for a couple months out. We know how that can go when dealing with THE MAN. There is progress none the less.
