Has anyone tried one of these yet on a big bore continental?
Delco-remy currently installed in my 182 sounds like a box of rocks and turns the engine over very slow. All the cables and contractors were changed by yours-truly about 120 hours ago.
Options as I see it are another overhauled Delco -remy, (!) hartzell energizer (same as a Delco-remy?) skytec ST5 or ST4, or hartzell engine technologies new permanent magnet PM1207.
My worries about kickback are somewhat assayed with the shower of sparks, engine starts very well even though it barely turns over.
Thoughts?
