Hawaii R44+VIRB+surfing (Sunday AM early)

Mixing helicopter flying (great for surf checks, dawn patrol) and the sport of the Hawaiian Kings...

Today, the first full day after the equinox (when day and night are the same time) I realized that all the effort put into aviation is really worth it. I’m not into it to be a professional because aviation is about freedom not about schedules (opinion). Cutting the the ties of society and being free for awhile is flying for me.

Hawaii: Fly with doors off all year, surf, catch Ono, sail the Pacific Islands and the price is pretty reasonable to fly here from the mainland. Maybe I am good at rationalizing. But, judge for yourself...

This video is about a regular Sunday in Hawaii for me. Flying and surfing. I almost ran over Mary as she was filming!
