Helpful website for small Continentals

I was browsing around trying to find answers to my recent dilema when I stumbled across this website. I found it to be very helpful and thought you guys might enjoy it: http://www.bowersflybaby.com/tech/fenton.htm

My dileman was this: Just bought a J5 and trying to use a handheld radio was useless. After decideing to put shielded plugs and wires on my C90-8 we ordered the set from a known supplier. Upon installation of the new harness my engine sounded awful. Only hitting on the #1 and #2 cylinder. After chasing the leads down and reading tips on this site, we determined that I had received a set for a -12 engine. -12 magneto's turn counterclockwise and the -8 turns clockwise. So the #3 and #4 leads were reversed. Switched them around and problem solved.

All things are possible to him that believes.

Yup, good website for the continental 4-banger fan. Lotsa "what fits what" & "how to make a 75 out of a 65" kinda stuff on there.

Cessna Skywagon -- accept no substitute!

Remember the -12 and -8 takes different wiring harnesses also, with bendix 20 series mags and shielded plugs the -8 uses 12351 and the same mags with the same plugs in the -12 uses 12007. This was on a C90. doug
