Here's a little tidbit I poached from the 180 club

Never saw this before, thought it was interesting

A buddy who did a bunch of testing in several different types of airplanes discovered every pound of weight increases take-off distance by 6" over your empty weight take-off distance. Or every two pounds extends the take-off one foot

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

100 lbs weight added to airframe decreases rate of climb 10% and increases take off run.

Sparky's rule....

Gross Weight
Takeoff Distance:
The takeoff distance varies with the square of the gross weight. A 10 percent increase in gross weight equals 21 percent increase in takeoff distance.

If you have never read any of Sparky Imeson's books there are a lot of great gems like this one in there!

This is a little confusing to me.
So, say my t/o wt. is 2200lbs. add 10%(220lbs, 2 of three girls settin on the floats on the highlander)

If normally t/o n 700',now I will get off in 847'.

so 220lbs. cost me 147' or .67lb/ft.

Hope things don't get that critical for me in the real world, but intersting.
