http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dY13LmDs ... ata_playerThis looks like an expensive example pointing out the results from high Center Line thrust.
If your that bored, design a low rider that spreads the gear and lowers the plane a foot or so
while stopping the prop sideways.. belly in without going over.
I could use that looking at all the swamp near my strip.
happy day

Discussion in progress:
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=10067However, if you want a new discussion regarding the purpose behind such a mod, I'd say that the objective is not a high CG, but rather a high AOA. It appears to be a practice session for the Valdez May Day STOL contest. That particular Cub appears to be pretty impractical, I'd speculate even that it's designed just for a contest.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

yea I know, its still a stupid idea. We flew there a few times,
4th july Seward mountain man race to watch a friend Fred Thomas
and Lk Hood friends 180 on floats fishing, as mine was on wheels to save time.
That guy should have known better this time, because of the day before.
hey its a free country, have fun
I've done my share of crazy and stupid things

Blessed are the curious, for they shall have great adventures!
CG may not be the term.
Center line of thrust / inertia building momentum and resulting force ?
And in a ground loop, side load inertia building from fuel sloshing.
Do we consider the 1/3 to 1/2 fuel in high wing planes effect from hard braking ?
I dont remenber seeing much advise from tundra tire AK guys warning about the high
line of energy. How about reducing the brake puck size ? . just kidding .
There are so many going on the back where there is allot of runway left.
I see the point is to win Valdes, but if this is an unfair advantage and it works that well with the same HP/weight ratio, it doesn't look like a level playing field .
Thats where catagories come in I guess.
happy day
