High Sierra Fly 2018 photos

Just home from a big week in the desert. So many people to thank. Only took a few photos myself but have been grabbing photos off the web for my own archives.

Over 400 planes and a thousand people. 1 ground loop on the weekend resulting in a gear failure on an Avid. Draco beats out Trent Palmer in the finals by a hair and that's a wrap. Time for cleaning and prep for HSF 2019 and the 10 year celebration!

Great collection of photos! I see Trent has his "Cub Killer" together. Looking forward to his segment on the assembly of that one.

Looks like a great time was had by all. One day I'll get out there.

Re: High Sierra Fly 2018 photos

Great aerial shot of the STOL Drags. I can't tell if it from a drone or a manned aircraft, but it sure looks good. I wish I could have added 1 more plane to the "ramp", but was nursing my wife and her broken leg. The things she'll do to keep me home...

I couldn't stay all through the event, but it was great seeing Kevin and so many others that are amazing. I was lucky to get some big tires before the event and get some landings in with the new bigger tires and amazing prop clearance ( especially compared to the Mooney!). It's always great meeting new aviation enthusiasts.

Fort Bidwell (A28 (?)) Has a great place to eat in town. Opens at 9Am! I had the burger with pulled pork, it was awesome. About a 1/2 walk.

The airplane sits very different than it used to. I had at least a few wheel barrow landings initially. So happy that I upgraded and thanks to some amazing BCP members for the help!

Re: High Sierra Fly 2018 photos

Another awesome HSF.

HUGE PROPS to Kevin for organising this, super smooth fun despite the size. I would not keep going if it wasn't for his emphasis on safety.

I'm more of a snapshot guy, but it is so spectacular that some of them look good.

Draco is every bit as impressive as I had imagined. Mike is really doing something amazing and has skills.

The older of these two is still useful.
