Homemade slingshot launches plane

From the shop bathroom library.

I gotta think the photo caption "planes always takes off uphill", is incorrect. I made a half assed effort to contact Mr. Bennett, but was unable, I was going to ask him about the uphill part. No doubt he would have been amused that a pilot in Idaho would ask some 62 years later.

This makes my soon to be tested ski ramp look pretty tame. But, he could have used my thermal relinquisher instead of chocks, that had to have been a little spooky with the bungee tensioned! No doubt the article glossed over the details.

Now I am inspired to go find the old chest of those magazines, I think I have some from the 30s cant remember but I think they have been published since 1870s.

Some great ideas an information for sure.
