How It's Made: Tundra Wing

Here's the "How It's Made" Video of the Tundra wing from sheet aluminum to wing. What is unique is that all the CNC work, fabrication and welding takes place on the first level and aircraft assembly is on the second story of the same building. Nevada Jim and I each built/assembled ours here in the fall of '06 and then disassembled it again to ship home. All the airframe, fuel tanks, engine mount and every other metal part on the plane is made here except the Grove spring gear. At this time last week I spoke with tech support and he mentioned there are parts enough for 5 Tundras in inventory but in the next week or so they will set together two fast build kits that were sold through the newest Tundra dealer.... in Russia.

Lynn Sanderson (Dirtstrip) passed away from natural causes in May 2013. He was a great contributor and will be missed dearly.
