How long to get an airport on a sectional?

Anyone know the answer?
I put in all the paper work to get my strip on a sectional lats April.
So far it has not been registered in the National Data Base http://www.gcr1.com/5010web/or put on a Sectional?
I have spoke to the FSDO and the fellow who ran this paperwork thru and have been told that there is 1 guy in DC that does all this for the whole country, and that it takes a year for him to get it done? Anyone else had this told to them?
I just spoke to him a month ago, he made a request to see what was going on and so far no reply??!! Is this standard??
Can anyone else tell me how long it took them to get one on a chart?
I know I reported one that used to be close to me that was abandoned and full of trees and a powerline!! It took 4 years to get it off the sectional!!
Thanks

No it is not on either.
Tho when I looked the on ourairports there is Erickson Skyranch WN04.
There is a power line and trees 6" in diameter where it was(my dads strip up until 1958)

A friend of mine just got his done...kinda. Waited about a year and a half, maybe a little more, got issued an identifier. Then shortly after got notice that they had given him one that was already in use. So going on two years now and still not done. Tax dollars at work!!

Re: How long to get an airport on a sectional?

I submitted mine back in 2001 and was on the charts in 6 months...... A person called from the "charting" office in DC to confirm the data was correct and 2WY3 was on the next SLC sectional....

The line that only ONE person in DC is actually doing the charting is BS.... The FAA has 70,000 + employees..

They'd be a lot quicker and more efficient, but they've used up all their "fast and furious" on other programs.

Re: How long to get an airport on a sectional?

Now you need to go on airnav and shortfield and put a picture up and a Pirep/description!

Airnav info

Airport Services

Runway Information

Runway 15/33

Dimensions: 2100 x 30 ft. / 640 x 9 m
Surface: turf
RUNWAY 15 RUNWAY 33
Traffic pattern: right left

So no mention of power lines!!

Also if you go on skyvector.com and click in that area it's an option as opposed to GPS coords!

While the FAA may have 70,000 employees, only 3 actually work, and only 1 is competent.
