Hi,
Taking my wife for the first time to Moose Creek to fly fish the weekend of June 13-14. Anyone tell me how Moose Creek and the Selway River look?
Any issues with the strips? They cut the grass?
How's the water look? High? Fast? Dirty? Any Club fly-in's planned? Can you have a campfire?
I will make a few calls first but was wondering if anyone had any recent experiences/comments.
I used to go in every year to the lodge (Seminole Ranch)across Moose but that was in July and I was either right seat or on a horse.
Thanks!
Steve

Howdy Steve,
Check the last couple of pages of the "where did you fly today" post. Several good trip report on Moose Creek. Also BackcountryPilot fly in the last weekend of June at JC

This is a good case for shortfield.com. Leave a PiRep when you visit an airport. Hopefully when you're ready to visit another airport, someone will have been there recently and reported on it.

Both Splashpilot and I made trips there recently and both left pireps on shortfield.com:
Shortfield.com Pirep page for Moose CreekIt was a little slice of heaven when I was there a few weekends ago. The water was running pretty fast though, so it's probably still too early for fishing. Awesome camping and hiking though.

Who is "just another fake pilot, heading for the weeds" referring to?
