Welcome to BCP. Maybe a description of what you've tried and how it didn't work would help spur the brain trust. Pics always help too.

Ha! I was thinking from the title that we were going to see an "omni-vision" Stinson! Next we'd need a rear view mirror, a la older Cessna 150s, to see who was about to chew up the tail feathers.

Sorry, can't help--I'm a total klutz as a mechanic.

i have put the rubber on the plain and tried to put the glass in. no good then i put the glass in the rubber and tried to then put it on the plain. NO GOOD then i used silicone in the glass and the rubber and tried again and again and again with no results, got close to half way in and then it slipped out . i am going nuts with what should be a simple thing to do. so again HELP any one, some one out there has done this before and knows how it go's in.

It's been a while since I've been up close and personal with a Stinson, and I don't really recall how the back windows go in there. But from the way you're describing it, it sounds an awful lot like the way you'd put a rear window into a Porsche 944.

[edit: Chris beat me to it, and also his video is a lot clearer than my written attempt was]

Yep, I purchased all new windows for my 1970 Toyota FJ40, windshield, side and back curved windows all held in with rubber. They came to my shop and installed each one with a rope. It took just seconds to do each one.

i tried the rope trick //??? buy the porch 944 rubber is a lot bigger then the rubber on the stinson and will not work. it is a lot smaller and a lot tighter. thanks for the trick, BUT do you have a better one i can try.
