Yup. Now once I get back home to the Springs I gotta figure out how to keep flying tailwheel. I guess I'll just have to drive up to FTG and do the 10hr checkout in the Citabria there.

Re: I'm tailwheel endorsed!!!

Congrats! I think I'm going to do the same thing this summer in the Champ we have here. Just for the fun if it. I already am aware that those things that you place your feet on aren't just foot rests, but hey, it cant hurt to get the endorsement. Besides, I want to fly with a stick for awhile. Always liked the idea of a stick verses the yoke. Now that I think about it, I wonder if more students in Cessna's, etc. would benefit in learning to use those rudders as they were meant to be used if they had a stick instead of the steering wheel like yoke? When a brand new student climbs into a Cessna the first thing they see is the "steering wheel". Then you have to break them of the concept that you dont just drive this thing around like a car. If they never saw the "steering wheel" and only had this dumb looking "pole" sticking up between their legs, they would know right off..."I guess this aint the same as a car, huh?" [-X Even with a nose wheel, I bet it would ease training in the proper use of the rudder.

Me too. I had a scary incident flying from the right seat of a C120 doing a low pass, concluding with a push on the throttle and a pull on the yoke. Bad time to get those two mixed up!
That sounds really stupid and it was, but not as far-fetched as you might think-- your body automatically does things it's done before the same WAY it's done them before. I find that I have to thnk about what I'm doing when flying RH stick/yoke & LH throttle, as opposed to just doing it.

Depending on where you're at, it can be hard to get tailwheel time when you have to fly rentals. You might think about buying a low-cost taildragger: Chief,Champ, C120/140,& T-Craft are often a good value. Maybe partner up with someone if finances are an issue.
