Idaho aviation license plate vandalized

I was afraid of this, I only had my new "FLY IDAHO" license plate for a week, and some unknown parties took it upon themselves to fix what they perceived to be a problem:too small of tires on the generic taildragger depicted. The tape is to preserve my anonymity, and yes I remembered to remove it before hitting the road.

They didn't do a very good job either, probably were in a hurry and non artists, I'd try and remove the defacement but I'm afraid of course to damage the plate, and maybe be accused of illegal modification of a state plate, so I'll just leave it as is. Since my crane yard is in the same area as the county mounties and the Staties, I have already have several close encounters with law enforcement driving behind me at low speeds, as we both go to our respective jobs. So far so good, and if I do get pulled over I plan to fully blame the unknown vandals, while throwing in a lot of no sir and yes sirs, and hope for the best. Here is the way the state authorities meant the plate to appear:Image
And the defaced plate  :

Luckily they only hit the rear plate. Still mid 40's mpg anyway.

Maybe you can set up a camera to catch them when they come back to hit the front plates, cause you know they'll be back. Odds are they'll be wearing ninja suits so you can't recognize them but it's worth a try!

Cops will most likely start hassling you, since they now look like doughnuts.

It took a second or two, but I finally got the joke, good one, an element of truth there.

A drunk died on a demo job I was doing 20 years ago, (stumbled out of the bar next door with a glass, then fell and cut himself so bad he bled out), first thing Monday AM I get there and first see coffee cups and empty doughnut boxes. A half hour later someone stopped by and asked if I had heard about the death, and then I put two and two together!
