The Good Lord does not deduct those days from our alloted quota, spent fishing, flying or with our Grandchildren.......

That story, as told, is bizarre... Of course you have to take it with a huge grain of salt coming from the plaintiff's opening salvo in a lawsuit.

Yeah, it gets real special some years. Some will actually sit and listen when ya try and keep them safe. Others figure their big pile of money and a cool airplane will make up for judgment and lack of skill. Late summer/early fall was always an interesting time to be far northwest.

So what's wrong with beating on your prop with a rock and then smoothing out the nicks with your pocket knife? Makes you wonder...it's like that B-52 crash up in Fairchild back in the 90's. That pilot had came close multiple times and had been busted multiple times for doing stupid stuff. That particular day he had 3 people on board just to make sure he didn't do anything dumb and he killed them all.

Don,
Actually the sheep season starts on the tenth of August or thereabouts....the beginning of the "crashing season" normally, though folks got an early start this year for sure.
A really bloody year in Alaska aviation, and lots of good people lost to date.

Last year the FAA sent out a flyer saying that 75% of all aviation accidents in AK happen in the month of August. Seems to be holding true this year, however, only 5 more days!

The winner is the person with the most stories when he dies, not the most gold.
