Interior Panel Replace/Fabricate
Have problems with your aircraft? Maybe just questions about how best to tune or adjust something? Regs or maintenance? Need to know the best way to do something?
I've got one interior piece in my 172 that must be replaced. It's the rear bulkhead of the extended baggage area, and it's cracked in half now. Looking through the Cessna and aftermarket parts catalogs, I'm not finding anything that looks like it's the right shape. They all look oval, and this is more square. Any leads on a source for this piece, or what kind of material I could just make one out of? I have all the fragments so it would be easy to duplicate.

1/4” plywood
Kydex 0.060”
Aluminum (0.020 or 0.025”)
Fiberglass sheet 0.063” (FR4 for example)
Literally anything flat

1/4" Baltic Birch. I use it for cub floor boards. Much better than big box store plywood and pleasing to look at when finished.
https://www.woodcraft.com/products/balt ... -x-12-x-30 Although Kydex would probably look more 'correct' with the existing baggage area
Take care, Rob
