Iridium Go

Does anyone have experience with the Iridium Go units?

For work I may need a Sat phone so I'm also checking out alternatives.

Thanks,
BR

Re: Iridium Go

Never used one, but was also interested so did some research when they first came out.

Word on the street was that they were slow and expensive so you really needed to have a solid need to justify it. Since more speed would require a refresh of the Iridium constellation I suspect the same notion still applies.

Thanks for the response and information RW, looks like I should just go with a phone instead.

I've heard nothing but negative comments as well.

Re: Iridium Go

Quick search showed only one article / choice on google that was NOT a sales site, however it is a March 18 - 2013 dated Forbes article on how and when plus some history. The person does say to not use the newer GO-9575 but the older 9555.

Will keep lookin.
