Hi all,
Thanks for the positive support and kind words about shortfield.com. Mike, sorry for the unwanted emails...I owe you a beer.
Here's my $.02:
I hate SPAM as much or more than the next guy, and that's why I don't send out much email to the registered SF users (although I do make the assumption that since you registered on the site, you won't mind the occasional shortfield or backcountry airstrip related email). Still, I'll keep those to a minimum.
The last three emails have all been t-shirt related, so I can see where that might seem like I'm trying to sell y'all something, but SF members have asked for more shirts and the mass-email seemed the best way to contact everyone.
Shortfield.com is free and I don't make ANY money from it (even with a few t-shirts sales added-in). In fact, I lose money when I work on shortfield.com, but I love this type of flying and since I haven't been getting out as much over the last couple years, this sort of keeps me "in the loop".
I'm just one guy who thinks about airplanes and backcountry flying far more that I probably should. I grew up in Idaho and have a great appreciation for the backcountry and all backcountry airstrips (in Idaho and elsewhere) and want to make sure they are preserved and enjoyed.
I think shortfield.com (as well as BCP) is a great place for pilots to interact and share their knowledge and I hope everyone will continue to use it and find value in it.
Now, while I have your attention, can I interest you in a great price on Viagra?
Chris
