Re: Is this Aurora Borealis?

My first time was in Canada as a 10 year-old, lying on a stack of 2x4's in the lumber yard one night. I watched a red blob appear and quickly spread across 2/3 of the sky. I freaked. I just knew "THEY" were here and we probably needed a couple of thousand more years to develop the weapons to hold them at bay. I bolted for home with my heart pounding. I wondered if they only ate babies or if they would occassionaly stretch it to 10 year-olds. I wanted to hide under the bed, but I knew... that's the first place they'd look.

When somebody finally told me what it was, the only thing I could think of to say was "Yeah, I knew that." At 10 years old, you think you can bluff anybody.
