It happens everywhere, not just in our back yard!!

Sorry for the 2 involved and all there people
It does not make any difference where or to whom!!

Wonder if there will be a safety review and more rules at the next get together in Sebring? ](*,)

Tragedy struck the otherwise successful and upbeat U.S. Sport Aviation Expo in Sebring, Florida

, last week when two people were killed in the crash of an Aero Adventure amphibious LSA near the main runway at Sebring Regional Airport.

Officials identified the victims as pilot Dennis Day of Groveland, Florida, and Jason Sponks of Orlando. The light sport aircraft was being flown for customer demos at the Sport Aviation Expo, though the accident flight was reportedly not a demonstration flight. The crash on Friday occurred in front of spectators at the show, which ran through Saturday.

A report by AVweb said the airplane had been involved in a ground handling incident before the crash. The FAA and NTSB are investigating.

By the title of your post and this snarky remark I can only assume you are making a very in poor taste remark about some of us wanting to discus the tradgety that happened to Tom and Tyler to see if there was anything else we could try to do to be safer. Its really sickening that you are taking these tragedies to push whatever your agenda is.

Or, he's just commenting on how shit happens, anywhere and anytime, that's how I took it anyway. Another internet thing, the "printed" word not being as communicable as talking face to face around a campfire.

I certainly don't see the idea of having safety reviews after tragic accidents, a bad idea, but the word rule is a bit abrasive. I think a review of procedure and policy would be a better term, and a normal, par for the course, when it comes to any accident investigation.

Thanks Guys,For sure no Snark from me!!
I've been around a couple of blocks and the loss of any life, let alone one from my chosen addiction is sad!!
As said above, SHIT Happens!!

High wings onto low wings, turning left instead of right, right instead of left, landing wrong direction on the wrong runway, (AIRPORT)!
All BAD, but happens. It was not skill that has got me thru a few of my own screwups, Lady Luck is a fine passenger!!

Good Judgement comes from experience
And a lot of that comes from bad judgement.
Some live thru it, some do not!

Please believe that I hurt every time I hear about someone not making the landing!!

Cussing and discussing things can only help and bring things to the front to be able to look at it from lots of directions, there is hope 1 of those will see something none of the rest of us do!!

In the back of my mind I was trying to put this out there to open the discussion again on being safe for all to look at again and look at them selves!

Again the written word just does not express face to face, I'm kind of an illiterate old bastard who has his own opines, and when someone chews on his ankle like I do most of the time I do try to express as well as I can, sometimes it works and other times it does not, kind like most of my landings!!

From a friend who was there and witnessed the accident it appears as though they were doing a low speed low altitude flyby. They raised the flaps then added power and shortly thereafter made a left turn which resulted in a stall and straight into mother earth. Possibly inexperience or just trying to show off. Physics wins every time.
