Headed to Montana for a week and half, leaving in the morning. Maybe another time.

I touched down (see video) in between Egg Islands on the water (ocean, saltwater). Really surprised how deep the fiords are, some over a 1000' deep and being less than a mile wide.

More analysis, I usually do at least one low level pass before I alight in a floatplane. Good to check:

* Floatsam
* reefs
* fish, whales, orcas (I saw a huge male orca out in the ocean later)
* birds
* wind
* current/tide flow and height/velocity
* obstacles relating to approach/departure (Orographic turbulence)
* distances
* wave heights
* fetch
* https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaufort_scale

Picture below is KML/Google Earth of single pass in between Egg Islands (video 05:30+) :

Ah, yes. A floating Norovirus incubator. The ideal melding of seasickness and gastroenteritis. :(

I'm not into the cluster vacation thing. To many people! It's a freaking floating city.
