It's official...I made the plunge!

So, I have been lurking around this forum for quite some time now and FINALLY decided to join in on the fun. I am a proud new owner of my first plane, a 1957 C-182! Thanks to all of you who are involved in this forum, as I learned much of what I know from reading your posts! I look forward to interacting with you fine folks in the future.

Now, if I could just figure out how to attach a picture......

Welcome Step, a few of us around here love the straight tailed 182's. I get to fly a '59 B model a few times a year and hope to buy it one day.

As far as photos are concerned, I would just go to photobucket.com and start a free on-line account. Download a few pictures to your page and then copy the "image" link under the photo and paste it in your post. voila'..you have photos.
Lets see your ride and make sure to include it here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5087

You did know that the strait tail 182 was voted best all around plane ever made. :D

those old straight tails were really light.....put 850 tires all around or bigger on the main and u will be surprised where u can land. Start looking for a big nose fork for 8:50 tire

Keep the shiney side up and the dirty side down...

Re: It's official...I made the plunge!

Here is my first 182B at Tuweep, AZ. (now closed, sniff). I had 600 x 6 up front and 700's on the mains. Works really well.

My second 182B has the same set up. Did you notice that I am partial to strait tail 182's :P

Not quite sure how to feel about that, but it kind of gives me the shivers to see that in print

Just kidding, (well, sort of). But welcome aboard anyway, and enjoy your new bird!
