From the front deck of R house:

Looking across the ramp at Cedar City airport. That snow capped ridge is Mount Wheeler in Great Basin National Park, about 120 miles from here. Of course, it's not always like this... sometimes it clears up.

Some of our mountain roads may not open 'til July!!

Re: Johnson creek

Those of you planning to attend the Johnson Creek fly-in, or do any other flying in Idaho, check out the Idaho Aviation Association's web site at idahoaviation.com. Click on "Idaho Airstrips" and you will find information on more than 70 of Idaho's backcountry airstrips, including "Pilot Reports." You are encouraged to file your own pilot reports after visiting an airstrip to let others know what conditions you found. The Idaho Airstrip Network forwards needed maintenance information to airstrip owners. You can send your comments and suggestions regarding the web site to [email protected].

Re: Johnson creek

Since were on the subject I'm looking for a Pireps for some of the strips down on the creek like Dewey and Vines. Is the snow all gone from the shade side of mountains up there yet? Big creek has got to be just raging right now.

You guys are making my ultra anal-retentive sense of information organization wince...:)

Please start a new thread in the Airports and Airstrips forum for a particular airport, or focused region of airports (like the Big Creek 4.) Please name the thread with the name and identifier, and if possible, utilize shortfield.com and reference it. Thanks.
