Johnson Creek Airstrip Caretaker

Has anyone heard if they have found a new caretaker for the Johnson Creek Airstrip this summer?

I have seen the recent advertisements for "Best summer job in the world" =D>

I am actually thinking about doing it if I did not have the following minor issues;

1.) Mortgage
2.) Insurance
3.) Groceries
4.) Fuel
5.) The whole regular job thing...
6.) Etc.etc.......

I guy can dream......right!

If it was not for some of those issues I would be in :D

I've thought the same thing. Then I see the work they do and some of the people they have to deal with and I think twice. I sure hope they can find a good couple that will want to stick around for a while. Seems like we've been burning through them recently. Maybe we can get Paul and Beverly to reconsider! [-o<

I'll second the Paul and Beverly comment.
I doubt they would do it, but it was great having them there.
They definitely "Raised the Bar" for future Caretakers.

The faster I go , the farther behind I get.

Caretakers position at JC is open

Just readin my IAA Flyline. The position of Caretaker for Johnson Creek has become available. Might be a fun job for someone here??

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

If I'm in good shape after I retire. I sure would like to have a stab at that job. I'd be in heaven (except cleaning the honey buckets and showers  ).

Heck, I would love to go up on the weekends or during the week when I'm not working and help out or volunteer.

Re: Johnson Creek Airstrip Caretaker

OK- I am not sure what will happen but I did apply for this position begining the summer of 2013.

It has taken me 3 months to come to terms w/ this idea but I will be ready next year. We will just have to see what happens :D Yes- I have had about enough of the corporate world #-o

It is still a long ways out lots could change between now and then.

Re: Johnson Creek Airstrip Caretaker

Darn, I just got notified by the state of Idaho they hired someone yesterday. A day late and a dollar short :(
