Does anyone know if the caretakers are still up at Johnson Creek? I have no idea when they leave for the season. I'd also like to know if the vans are still there and available to get to Yellowpine. Do they move them during the winter?

According to Gary McElheney of the Idaho Division of Aeronotics, the caretakers reside on the property until mid-September.

Everything is shut down for the year.
No water/showers or transportation.
Freezer is put away along with microwave.
No wood carts either.
Toilets are unlocked.
Gary said he was going to turn off the wireless, but I'm not sure how he can do that??

That's easy. Just unplug the router.

Gary left 3U2 Wednesday morning and said he was going to do it from his home in Boise by calling the provider.
The router/wireless was working after he left.

Wasn't happy when I saw this earlier today. Since I can't make it to Nevada and my wife will be working in challis I was going to spend a few days flying out of challis. Hope the weather clears.

Nice pic! I don't see any footprints. Did you take a big hop back to take the pic?
