Just buy a Skywagon

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Just buy a Skywagon

Yesterday I bought Shortfielder's (Gary's) Pponk'd 180 and flew it home from Durango Today. It's just what I wanted, like my 170 but with a lot more POWER!

Awesome! This moment requires the Jeremiah Johnson nod of approval.

Good looking Skywagon, Rob.
That airplane lived here in the Puget Sound area when Gary bought it-- I'd seen it around and although I've never checked it out real close, it looked like a real nice one.

Another sucker buys into the hype... ;) Congrats, dude!

The question is, will 60C stay another round in the BCP family?

That is awesome...beautiful airplane! See what happens when you start having kids...all the sudden you need a mini-van and a skywagon!

Re: Just buy a Skywagon

Don't get a minivan.

...and congrats on the bigger family hauler. I'm sure it was hard to decide to let the 170 go after all the hard work you put into it.

Waiting for a couple friends to workout some computer glitches on an engine monitor a couple days back in Valdez, I glanced up at the glacier and saw the clouds dropping on the pass....
Gently nudging our accomplice, I pointed towards the pass and declared, it was now or... Maybe tomorrow...
Lining up as a flight of two I poured the coal to the pponk, and crossing the numbers on the west end I was pleased to see the meter passing through 2000' AGL....
An immediate turn towards the pass had us sliding through with MAYBE a few minutes to spare...
God bless Steve Knopp declared Coleen ...
Me? I'm just happy to have bought in to the hype :-)
FWIW... The number two ship was an impressive BH that didn't break a sweat doing the same ;-)

Congrats on the plane!
Take care, Rob

Re: Just buy a Skywagon

Wow
Just what your growing family needs.
Unfortunately I just got a new backhoe - probably more expensive and not nearly as much fun.
Lots of clear skies to you guys.
