Awesome! I cannot wait to share that moment with my daughter! She is 3 now. I think I have my wife convinced that its just about time.

Thanks for sharing that. That is one of the sweetest things I have ever seen.

The more times the merrier. This one should get a random bump every now and again.

Goosebumps. Thanks for posting!

One of the best moments of my life was when my daughter excitedly exclaimed "Whee!" the second we broke ground the first time I took her up. Priceless.

Excuse me, I think I may have something in my eye...

Yeah, gotta admit I'm a sucker for a tear-jerk dog story, or some kid's first airplane ride video. I've been watching this one every evening since it came out, just as a nice way to end the day.

This video has really gone viral over the last 2 weeks. I've seen it shared by several non-aviation people too, and I think it's got to be the best PR for general aviation in a long time. It's the essence of flight-- open window, low and slow, and unsuppressed giddy joy like a child. We need more of these on the news and fewer crashes into houses.

Re: Lainey's First Airplane Ride! Enjoy.

I watched it several days ago, and like everyone else thought it was one of the best videos in a long time. I fly corporate for a local company here with 4 other pilots and a couple of days ago I'm watching the video again in our office when one of our pilots walks in, see's it and says, "Hey, that's so-in-so. He used to work line service in NC where I used to work, fly King Airs with me and then flew with me at another company I used to work for. Great guy, let me call him." So he did. Lainey's Dad said he had just made the video for his father and never expected it to have the effect on the flying community as it has.

I thought it was great to end up being just a little closer to what was going on in the video.

It really is a small world.

Opened up my email and Lainey has made AOPA's weekly newsletter. Good thing I'm in a hotel, buying a new kleenex box everyday would be getting expensive if I was at home.
