I have a question, what brakes do you have? Dual or single piston, and if there single how does it stop? I have been told that the single is not sufficent with 800X6.
I have single puck Clevelands. They make plenty of stopping power for me. I can slide them on dirt if I have to, however, I try not to. Making tight turnarounds, the inside wheel will lock up and drag with moderate brake pedal pressure.
I haven't skidded them on pavement, simply because I haven't had to brake that hard on a paved runway. Usually anything with an improved surface is long and wide (comparatively) and I still use my same short field landing procedures anyway. Most of the time its light braking or even adding power to taxi.
In general, I believe the single pucks are plenty sufficient for the 800s.
The 800s do enunciate a louder "Chirp" landing on pavement than the 600s.
