Last flight of 2007

The weather could not have been better for our last sunset flight of 2007. A buddy of mine joined up with us in his immaculate, straight tail 172 for some formation and photo flying. He did not get any shots of our Maule, but we did get a few good shots of his classic bird.

Robert "Bub" Wright, aka Skylane, passed away in November of 2011. He was a beloved community member and will be missed.

Not sure if I got the photo to load, but it was a good way to finish the day flying to the office. Went to another neighboring lake to do a little ice fishing and a return flight home in the dark.

Was I the only one flying at midnight? I like to be doing something I like as the new year rolls around. The wife wasn't interested, so I went flying

I was not flying at midnight when the new year rolled around. The Metal Mistress was safely resting in the hangar, but I was doing something I like just as much as flying  and the wife was more than interested.

My last '07 flight was to air drop some "Smores" fixins on a friends New years camp. Well... Smores for the kids, and headache / hangover meds for the parents
