Lava Hot Springs ID26?

Anyone know the status on the Lava Hot Springs airstrip? I've tried to track Tom Lawler or Reed White down with no luck. Is it still open to the public?

I'm looking for a close by overnight to take Adam to before school starts this week.

Thanks,
Cory

Might be too late for you, but the folks at IDT/aeronautics can likely give you good intel. Or the IAA might be a good contact.

Re: Lava Hot Springs ID26?

Thanks. I did get a hold of Tom and it's still open to the public. Tom graciously offered his lawn and perhaps even a vehicle to use. We ended up staying at Heiner's instead. We planned on stopping the next morning but the winds picked up and were getting squirrelly in the hills, plus the ride was getting rough too. So we headed to our fuel stop and then on home.

Hopefully I'll get the chance to get up there in the next few weeks.
