For us exp pilot/builders: Good thing I switched over to a mechanical master a couple years ago! I used a race car type from Summit Racing, fire wall mounted very close to the floor mounted battery so nice short leads, and a light push rod going up to the panel. I really like, and have used, twice, the ability to un hot all the wiring, when things go south. This was the first long duration and unplanned "test" of the new master, it's about as idiot proof a way as I can think up to eliminate the classic problem. Having an energized coil drawing drawing power, significant power, enough to kill the battery, does not appeal to me anymore.

Bad weather mostly, and being busy, it happens! Plus I was waiting on new O rings for my oil pump "rebuild". The minor leak I had developed is now gone, and installing the new O rings took about 15 minutes. It was an odd feeling holding the oil vane (? the little rotor that sits in the housing and pushes the oil around) in my hand...... kind of like a surgeon doing a heart transplant That 50 cent sized little round machined chunk of metal has taken me a lot of places and provided me a lot of fun, so I tried to not drop it on the concrete floor. 15 minutes of work, and I got the O rings for free, and my seep is gone
