Life with a Maule in Alaska

Here is a short video of what aviation has allowed my family to experience with me in Alaska. Flying is a wonderful thing!

Re: Life with a Maule in Alaska

Very nice summary of your recent experiences.
Along with BCP, I've seen you around social media.
Just curious, are you doing like a 1-man pt135 up there?

Cheers and best wishes for a great 2019 summer season!

Kurt, our first Maule was the blue and white M4-220. We sold that and bought a grey M7-235, We sold that and bought a new M7-235 longwing Maule which is what we operate currently.

Great video, Isaac.

This made me LOL for some reason. How does one flip the ratio so there are less tough days than blessed ones? I feel like I mostly shovel shit everyday for one monthly treat, and there's currently a 6 month backorder on treats.

Re: Life with a Maule in Alaska

Isaac,

Thanks for posting. I love seeing what you do in AK and all the places you go. While I know it is hard work, it sure seems like it is rewarding.

What wing was on your old gray Maule(535JT)?

Thanks,
Joe

Re: Life with a Maule in Alaska

You have that Maule really dialed in, amazingly slow short finals. Another annoying Maule pilot! Annoying, because it makes me want one.

Re: Life with a Maule in Alaska

Awesome video. Single pilot 135 that is successful enough to purchase a factory new custom Maule is the dream for many people on this site I’d say. That takes a lot of work.

You just need to convince yourself that you like shoveling shit--
then every day will be a treat!
