Re: Lightning Strike

I heard about it earlier today, but the only info I have is what you posted. Pretty sure I would defecate if that happened to me.

Re: Lightning Strike

I was on an airliner once that got struck. It was packed full, and after the strike it got REAL quiet....then the pilot
rolled and yawed it a bit, it felt to me like he was checking out the controls. A minute or two went by, still real quiet in the cabin, then Captain Cool comes on the intercom, thanks us all for flying blah blah airlines, what we were going to have for breakfast (a while back), what time we were due in etc., and then just as an after thought he went on to say that some of us may have heard a loud bang and seen a bright flash (well duhhhh) and not to worry, it was just a static discharge. Since then I always wondered if that was a politically correct way to say struck by lightning or something else. It sure sounded and looked like a lightning strike. They kept the door to the cockpit closed as we got off so no interaction, however brief, with the flight crew.

Re: Lightning Strike

Gump, this shot proves that the Redbull wing ride video is just a low budget knockoff of the original version. I knew theirs was fake.
