Our 170B has a lightweight interior, or in other words, no interior.
The previous owners goal was to lighten it up and he dropped a total of 110lbs from the plane.
Some of the weight was unecessary avionics and some interior.
The interior is no door panels or headliner but instead fleck paint and grey primer.
In place of the headliner is closed cell foam for some insulation. The baggage compartment is also lined
with closed cell foam to keep stuff from riding on the inside of the skin. The floor is plastic tread plate, for lack of a better term.
When I first saw it, I instantly liked it. Easy to maintain and fix and touch up with cheap paint.
Relatively inexpensive to install.
I'll try to get motivated to post a couple pictures, but if I recall, Sully Co SD is not to far from here.
If this weather clears up this fall, we could meet for lunch. Been wanting to fly to, I think its Wall SD? Wall drug?
