Live Chat is giving me a complex!

Here I am again. I log into the site and read a few topics. Before I leave I notice that Live Chat says there is one person online. Feeling friendly I log in. Ding! Ding! A line pops up and says "Skystrider on line". Immediately another line pops up and says "Person XXX logged out". Now I am not feeling so friendly!

Now I know that occasionally I get carried away and accidently get someone angry at me. I am sorry. Really! But I am getting a complex with Live Chat! #-o

Actually, I think what is happening is the act of logging in automatically times out the person that is online but has not typed anything for a period of time. Please tell me that is what is happening!

Sky

What is happening is whoever logged into live chat did not "log out" when they left the chat room. In other words, they closed the window with out hitting the log out button. This keeps them "logged in" to the server until someone else logs in and then "bingo" they are "timed out".......

I see it all the time. Would help if the server stopped showing that there is someone in the chat if they have been inactive for 30 minutes or so.

Brian.

Haha...don't take it personally. It's just as Brian described. It's a bug in the software that doesn't automatically remove the timed out user from the list.

Best time to get some real humans responding is in the evening between 6 and 9pm pacific.

I can't wait for the new one! Tired of getting kicked, or losing connectivity off and on.

Loving life and thankful for each day I am blessed with!

Re: Live Chat is giving me a complex!

half of the folks that use the chat are just the same! And when I'm on there, I'm usually drinking or something so it's alright with me too!
