Ok what really happened here is that my blackberry that I took these photos and made this image up. The prop was running at high rpm and it came out with these pictures. I thought they looked incredible and that other would enjoy this optical illusion. The images are very high quality and have no distortion (the uploaded images are degraded quality due to size limitations).

Ooh yea, these are also the first pics I have posted of my Stinson 6890M a 48 108-3. We met this fall and it was love at first site. We bought skis and stuck them, and I have floats that we will be installing fittings for in the next month or so. Overall I love her. She is powered by a franklin 165.

Hope you enjoy.

Never really thought the skis were very toed in. They look pretty straight in my mind but I will take a closer look next time i am out on the field. If so I haven't noticed any problems however this is the first time the skis have been on the plane and it's my first skiplane.

typical of the 108s. The large oleo that they have will continue to settle. The springs can be shimmed.

The gear on these planes moves alot.

Yeah, camber. Toe-in = "pigeon-toed."

Sweet pics, that is so weird that it made the prop appear bent rather than blurred.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

I looked at that photo a long time and could not figure out how you could bend a prop in that manner. Finally looked at the text. You know, "read instructions first"

Ahhh... I was wondering why it looks like a powder blast behind the plane in the second photo, and how come it's backtaxied so neatly in the the old tracks! Fun shots- thanks
