I’m in the process of finalizing a purchase of a used Kitfox S7 and need an A&P mechanic experienced with Kitfox or other tube and fabric experimental aircraft (Kitfox experience preferred) to help with final pre purchase inspection. So far I haven’t had any luck finding a good recommendation so any help would be appreciated!

Pete, thanks for the reply. The aircraft is located near Brewster, NY at Sky Acres airport. I’d like to find someone closer as I’m not allowed to fly the airplane yet due to insurance requirements (need specific aircraft training first).

How old can the fabric be on an S7? If you are still looking I'm in CT. No specific Kitfox experience but I can tell you if I would fly/buy it or not. I'm stopping at Sky Acres all the time for fuel. May be there tomorrow as I'm planning some air to air photography with someone from POU. I'm also an A&P/IA though not my full time job.

I’m based at 44N. If that’s Bobs Kitfox, it is a nice aircraft. I remember when he built it. It was well built to begin with and I don’t think it has spent a night out of the hangar. The build and finish quality is very good with nice paint work. I believe my mechanic just recently did an inspection on it. He is honest in my opinion, I could give you his contact info if you don’t have it. I think the reason that Bob is selling the kitfox is his age.
